Kim Hughes, Esq.

KG Hughes & Associates

Kim Greene Hughes, Esq. is the Principal of K.G. Hughes & Associates, LLC  –  a law firm that she formed in October 2006 to offer a high level of professional expertise, impeccable service, integrity to clients, and a strong commitment to community.  

 

Immediately upon law school graduation, Ms. Hughes served as Executive Director of an Atlanta based non-profit youth entrepreneurial training program.  Among her many responsibilities, she coordinated training programs in community centers and public schools around the Atlanta area for elementary, middle-aged, and high school youth.  

 

Ms. Hughes began her professional career as a real estate attorney for a firm in Clayton County, Georgia.  She later joined a metro Atlanta multi-office real estate firm as the managing attorney of its Tucker, Georgia location.  She then joined as partner with a regional law firm to represent the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the closings of its foreclosed inventory in Middle Georgia.  In this capacity she also represented HUD in Kentucky, through a collaborative effort with Commonwealth Title – Kentucky, for the closings of its inventory in that state.  Ms. Hughes was responsible for personnel recruitment, training and management, cross-state project planning, and business development. 

 

In her own practice, Ms. Hughes serves Greater Atlanta and the surrounding areas through her legal expertise in Corporate/Business Law, Real Estate, Entertainment, and Wills, Trusts & Estates. She handles commercial and residential real estate transactions for corporations, churches, and private individuals; provides legal consultation and support for local and multi-state real estate disposition projects; consults on land planning and development projects; implements corporate governance policies for non-profit and private organizations; and represents entertainment clients in contract negotiations for tv, film, and music projects.

 

As a member of the Georgia State Bar, Ms. Hughes devotes time to training real estate professionals on matters related to residential and commercial transactions and new homebuyers on the closing process through various public sector affiliations such as the Dekalb County and Atlanta Housing Authorities, the Metro Housing Counseling Agency, and Habitat for Humanity. 

Terri Madden

National Director Community Lending

Graduate of Kentucky State University with a degree in Business Management, and a MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University, Terri embarked on her career in the mortgage industry 27 years ago.   As a mortgage professional, her passion is to help families realize their dream of homeownership and build financial wealth.  Her approach is to educate all clients about the homebuying process and responsibly manage their credit.  Whether a first-time home buyer, move-up buyer, empty-nester, or refinancing an existing home, guidance is provided through education.  All clients should understand the mortgage process and be able to identify the best loan program that fit their short and long term goals.

With years of experience in residential and commercial lending through the private sector,  Terri also, spent 9 of those years working within the non-profit sector developing trisector relationship to enhance community development to provide affordable homeownership opportunities. 

​

Terri's expertise also consist of restructuring nonprofits and overseeing change management in order to align mission with vision to foster measurable results within the community. 

​

The mother to an awesome son. A licensed mortgage loan originator, certified housing counselor, and continuing education instructor. Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, currently residing in Atlanta Georgia, while educating families in 50 states!

Cathy McDaniel

Real Estate Educator

Cathy has had a far-reaching career that includes over 29 years in the real estate industry, more than 18 years of teaching experience and is known as a subject matter expert and consumer advocate in homeownership. She has authored more than 300 training manuals, met and trained more than 180,000 real estate professionals and has conducted more than 3,000 live classes since 2007. During 2022, more than 37,000 registered for a class through Eventbrite. 2023 is surly to be a busy and exciting time for education to keep up-to-date with real estate trends, challenges and solutions.

Cathy McDaniel is the author of "A Road Map To Saving Your Home" which is available at the National Association of REALTORS bookshelf.

​

Cathy is recognized as an industry expert and a has earned a Google 5-Star rating from her students. She also received from Georgia Real Estate Educators Association the 2016 "Outstanding New Program Course" and the 2008 "Educator of the Year". She has a partnership with The CE Shop for self-study online courses, D.R. Horton Communities for onsite agent training and Olson & Medlock, LLC Law Firm and many others which allows her to offer a variety of class topics and community events.

Dan Park

President of (AREAA)

Dan Park is the current President of the Atlanta Metro branch of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) where he has served on the executive board since 2017. AREAA is a national nonprofit trade organization dedicated to improving the lives of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community through homeownership.  Dan is dedicated to promoting sustainable homeownership opportunities in Asian American communities by creating a powerful national voice for housing and real estate professionals that serve the Asian American market.

 

Since 2010, Dan has been passionate about helping all those who desire to own a home realize the dream of home ownership and became a Mortgage loan officer. As a licensed mortgage loan officer, his focus is to provide tailor-made lending solutions for each of his clients especially for the self employed business community. His mission is to help people in underserved communities know their rights under the Fair Housing Act.  

 

Dan is a native of Philadelphia, PA where he attended Drexel University. Dan and his wife, an elementary school teacher, have been married for three years. He is actively involved in his church where he serves as a deacon. He is also an avid sports fan.

Cassie Stanley

HUD Approved Housing Counselor

Cassie Stanley is the Branch Manager and Certified Housing Counselor of NID Georgia Housing Counseling Agency since December 2014 overseeing the day-to-day operations of the full-service HUD-Approved Organization in accordance with the Certified Branch Office Agreement with NID Housing Counseling Agency.

 

Her leadership and passion for her work have resulted in a growing network of partnerships with churches, public officials, community and civic organizations, financial institutions, public housing authorities, local businesses, libraries, and other non-profits, all of whom she views as portals for directly reaching people who desperately need free, life-changing financial skills and information that they would not otherwise have access to.

 

Cassie is the Broker and Owner of Cassie Stanley Realty Group launched in 2002 and has been a licensed real estate professional since 1979. She is a member of the Empire Boards of Realtors where she serves in numerous leadership roles.

Cathy Williams

President/CEO NeighborWorks Columbus 

Cathy Williams is the founding President/CEO of NeighborWorks Columbus. She has demonstrated knowledge and experience in property development, lending, board governance and staff management.

 

Cathy earned her Bachelor of Arts from Troy University and completed the Achieving Excellence in Community Development Program at Harvard University.

 

With a deep commitment to serving others, Cathy is currently a district representative on the Muscogee County School Board, a Life Director of the National Association of Home Builders and has served in leadership on numerous local, state and national boards.

 

Cathy and her husband live in Columbus and have four children and three grandchildren.
